York Newborn Mini Sessions:
For those that don’t know, I offer newborn mini sessions for those that want just a handful of images of baby. This session is one hour long only and swaddled/wrapped images of baby only (this is a good session for clients who don’t want family images). The reason a mini session is a swaddle session is because newborns love to be swaddled so it helps keep them sleepy so we can keep the mini session short and sweet!
How is it different from a full newborn session?
Well firstly, props are included in your newborn sessions in opposite to the mini sessions.
I often get asked if props are included with my newborn sessions and yes they are! Everything you see in my portfolio is mine and to be used for your newborn session. Newborn Photography is quite an expensive business to be in as prop shopping is addictive! I’ve tried to create a style that uses colour but is still timeless with rustic touches. Half of my sessions use props and then half are posed on fabric like this to create a more simple look. I love collecting headbands, bonnets, rustic wood props and fabric backdrops to make every session I do unique and beautiful.
Secondly, I include family and sibling shots in the full newborn sessions so we can capture you as a family in those early days which then you can treasure forever.
And last, the price. Newborn mini sessions are cheaper than the full newborn sessions. I offer the mini sessions at £139 for 5 digital images, while the full newborn sessions start from £199. Although full newborn sessions are not for everyoneYou get so much more with the full newborn sessions and it's reflected in its the price.
It is so important to book you newborn session ahead of time as newborn photographers take a limited amount of newborns per month to ensure they are available for early/late arrivals.
