One of my favourite things about doing a cake smash session in my York studio? Getting to see newborns I photographed again. A month ago I got to see this little cutie again and as you can see, my she has grown! This just illustrates the importance of capturing those milestones in the first year because they change so much within it. This little girl was such an adorable newborn and she’s grown into a feisty happy little one year old!
I adore newborn sessions as they are so important to capture in the first few weeks of their life. It is such a huge honour for me to be chosen to capture your tiny little baby and help create memories that you will cherish and look back on for a lifetime.
Cake smashes are quickly becoming a favourite of mine because I get to meet the newborns I photographed again and see how their huge personalities have developed and just how big they’ve grown! Cake smashes are such a celebration of their first year and I love getting to capture them in the first few weeks of their life and then when they turn one! Cake smashes are such a blast because your little one has so much fun and is all smiles! It is so much fun to get messy with a cake (try to prepare them with a bit of messy play before) and see how they react. All the hilarious expressions they make during the session are priceless!
Cake smashes include all decoration and I do have outfits as well. I love creating a party like atmosphere with pom poms, flowers, garlands, bunting and other decor to celebrate such a momentous milestone in your child’s life. The cake is included in the sessions as well, so all you will have to do is to pick a theme for this amazing experience.
